When I wrote my first book back in 2012, I did not plan much. One day, I just picked my diary and pen and started writing whatever came into my mind. That’s how everyone should do! Improvisation can be done later, first write that first draft! And still I follow the same, I am working on my 5th book these days and still the first draft is something that can give a school English teacher a heart attack đŸ¤£
Yes! You need to stop thinking and start writing your first book RIGHT AWAY. If you keep on planning planning, nothing will happen. Don’t think about the language, grammar, plot, character names, genre, technique, etc. Once your first draft is complete, then improvisation can be done. When you write your first book, the first draft is never perfect. You have to find improvise it later.
