Kapil Sharma’s I am Not Done Yet is streaming on Netflix. I saw this show with an expectation to listen to the types of jokes that we keep on watching in his tv shows, which are no doubt good. But this show, I am Not Done Yet was indeed a surprise as it show an up, close and personal side of this comedian’s life.
Kapil Sharma is indeed the biggest stand-up comedian in India. I personally like this comedy because it is a good mix of sarcasm and fiction. I don’t say I like anything and everything cracked by Kapil Sharma, because that is just not possible. No one can be 100% perfect in their craft, because I believe an artist improvises every day. But mostly his jokes are clean which I really like, unlike newbie comedians talking dirty and using swear words to make people laugh.
I really liked how Kapil scripted the show, especially the mid-part when he explained about the times when we was overcoming depression. Not many people are able to open up about the mental wellness. I appreciate how Kapil spoke about it and created an awareness on the same.
The best thing about Kapil Sharma jokes are he knows how to blend the ‘explanation’ with ‘comedy’. I read somewhere that a person should be able to laugh on his on own mistakes but learn from it too. Kapil is a perfect example of the same.
He explained the twitter incident happened to him and how it was hyped in the media making Kapil escape to a secluded place to regain his sanity from the buzzerati. I am Not Done Yet Review
What touched me the most was the incidents that he shared with his father and the connect. He said a very nice thing that, ‘sapne khud ke nahi hote, vo generation to generation transfer hote hai… mera acting ka sapna mere father se mila mujhe’. I can completly relate to this as I also believe that I got my passion and zeal for writing and the dream to become an author from my mother, and the dream to travel and learn as much as I can, from my father. I know they both are looking at me from the heaven, smiling and blessing me. Miss you mom dad!
For a moment, even I had tears in my eyes… this was just to tell how expressive and truthful Kapil was. Audience only cries from they feel the pain and void. I am Not Done Yet Review
All in all, I really liked the show and I recommend it you as well. It is a fun and light hearted show that shows the real side of Kapil Sharma. And yes, you can watch with you family as well. These days, it is so hard to have shows and movies that you can watch with family and kids. So, you need not to worry about that in Kapil Sharma’s I am Not Done Yet.
