Tiny lifestyle changes: You know, it is very easy to live a lazy and messy lifestyle. You get up late, eat or drink without brushing your teeth and skip bathing for days. And then after having such kind of a mis-managed lifestyle, we complain that things are no going right in our lives.
If we want to live a better life then we need implement some lifestyle changes as well.
I understand it is not easy to just change your lifestyle in 1 day but we can always start with tiny lifestyle changes. I also started like that only.
When pandemic happened and we all were under the lockdown, I had become very lazy. I used to get up at 12:30 – 1:00 pm in the noon and sleep around 4 am at night.
This routine was not just hampering my health but also my work. I used to take bath and get ready to work by 2-3pm, which was again my nap time. Yes, I have a habit of taking a nap around 4-5pm every day and this habit is since my school days. So, I feel super lazy at this time.
And because of this, I couldn’t focus on work and my productivity was also decreasing.
Then I decided to improve this. But I was tough to get up at 9:00 am when I had already become habitual of getting up at 12:30-1pm.
So, I started with getting up at 12:00pm, then 11:30am, then 11:00am, then 10:30 and now the time is 9:30am which is fine and suits my regime.
I do sleep late at night, around 2 am, at times 3 am. BUT I alway get up at 9:30 am.
You may pick your getting up time slot according to your work or routine. 9:30 am is a perfect time for me because I work from home. My client calls, my team meetings, reviews of submissions, content creation, shoots etc. all starts after 11:00 am. So, I get enough time to stick to my mindful morning routine, till I begin to work.
My intention of giving you this example is that I started with tiny lifestyle changes and now I have reached the goal I set for myself which compliments my life, my work, my health and me-time.
But, fret not!
I am not asking you to start getting up early in the morning, it is totally up to you. But, what I mean is, try implementing these tiny lifestyle changes as it will surely improve your life and lifestyle.
So, here are 17 tiny lifestyle changes that make a big impact in your life. Take a note!
- drink 8 glasses of water every day
- spend time with plants of your house
- fix a time to get up in the morning
- fix your bedtime and try to stick with it
- eat without distractions, means don’t use phone or watch tv during eating
- spend some time away from social media
- play with kids/pets
- make your bed every time you notice its messy
- wash your legs before sleeping
- brush your teeth in the morning before eating or drinking anything
- avoid consuming hard-drinks every day
- have in-person interactions
- have a hobby that makes you feel happy (see ideas below)
- take care of your skin, spend some time in pampering yourself
- try to keep your shoe rack clean (messy shoe rack is bad according to vastu shastra)
- Try reading 1 page every day, it can be of a book, ebook, magazine or a newspaper
- spend at least 15 minutes in praying every day
I totally stick to these tips that I have suggested you above. You must try to implement these changes in your lifestyle and see the difference.
