Recently on a train journey, I discovered RailYatri – an app that is a great option to order food on train. Existing on the Web, Apple Store and Android this application is simply irresistible. Besides, it also offers the best utilities for train travellers like PNR status and live train status to train time table, trains between stations Live Train Status and many more.
A traveller has to simply enter the PNR and train number and select his or her desired dish amongst the lots and lots of food options. With this genuine app train travellers can now order order food on train and get it delivered right at their train seat. Not just food, but there are also beverage options like cold drinks, coffee and tea. They also have food options like Misal Pav, Malabari chicken biryani, egg curry, crisp chilli potato etc. And oh, did I tell you that you can also order Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai or your evening cup of tea or coffee too?
My experience!
I recently did a train journey and tried RailYatri myself. I am an apple user, so I tried iPhone app of RailYatri though android app is also available for free.
I ordered a Veg Wow Box which is a veg thali, veg fingers, crispy potato and spring rolls. So, this is what I liked about RailYatri the most. You can order food of your choice, from fast food to India, Chinese, salads and more.
And guess what, the food was delivered at my seat and it was hot and fresh. The food delivery was right on time and the delivery boy was very soft spoken too. Impressed! Here’s what my wow box and other food items looked like-
The wow box also had extra salt, pepper, sugar, tooth picks, wet wipes and mouth freshener.
Taste?
Veg thali is super tasty. If this had been a restaurant, I would have become a frequent there. Even the other food items tasted good. For a change I actually enjoyed my meal in train. It was hygiene and home like, what more can one ask for?
