A Cat In My Hotel’s Compound – PhotoBlog – Cat Photography

I was in Nainital last week. Just for a short escape with family! While I was roaming with my camera in my hotel’s compound in Nainital, I came across a very cute cat. Oh, not-so-cute but a normal cat. I couldn’t stop myself from clicking the pictures! I feel cats and dogs are really photogenic.

Apart from nature photography, I really like clicking animals (except monkeys and reptiles). I’m sure you must have seen my recent encounter with a Tiger in Bandipur Tiger Reserve. I am going to share more photos of Bandipur Tiger Reserve very soon. And now, here are the photos.

Aren’t these shots just too good. In some shots, it feels like cat is posing for the photo. Isn’t it? It’s looking straight into my camera, which is sort of funny. And this was not a pet. I really enjoyed clicking photos of this cat. Did you like it? Tell me via comments section below!

Quick tips for cat photography:

  1. No need for a tripod
  2. You can use your kit lens (I used the same)
  3. Keep high shutter speed like 1/1000 and aperture f/5.6
  4. Don’t use flash, it may scare the cat and it’ll runaway

Bonus tip:

Say ‘meoww’ to make the cat look towards you (the camera) and click! I always do this 😉
