I’m turning into an addictive traveller and trust me, I am not at all complaining. I always say travelling inspires me to write more. Meeting new people, listening to their stories, sharing a slice of my life, singing songs, dancing without music and what not, all this adds more joy to my life. This trip to The Serai Bandipur Luxury Resort was one such trip. I am glad that I was a part of bloggers experiential trip to this wonderful place.
Bandipur National Park is one of the oldest and biggest tiger reserves in India and The Serai sits right on the edge of it having a forest area reserved for it’s guests. Yes, The Serai bandipur has a part of jungle inside it’s premises. Isn’t it amazing?
I stayed in this beautiful jungle resort in south India for 2 nights and had a great time. The rooms (or I should say cottages) were big enough to accommodate 2-3 guests.
And this was my room! The rustic interior of the room is something I liked a lot as I am fan of rustic chic decor. All things wooden were a treat to eyes.

The view made my stay even more memorable as I am big admirer of nature and waking up to a view like was inexplicably beautiful. There were also different types of cottages & villas ranging from mountain view villas, to jungle view, residence with private terrace & garden and luxury huts.
I believe it is a perfect place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. The most amazing thing about this resort is it has reserved half of it’s land for the jungle and have planted over hundreds of different species of trees.
The resort has all the amenities included an elevated pool, a bar, gym, activity area, games room, recreation room, souvenir shop and spa. You can also rent a bicycle to enjoy the greenery of the resort!
Let’s talk about the spa now! I have experienced many luxury spas but what made OMA Spa of The Serai different was it’s location & therapy room. The rooms are surrounded by greenery giving you a feeling that you are getting your spa therapy done amidst jungle.
Not just this, but The Serai, Bandipur offers it’s guests an amazing food experience too. So, if you are a foodie at heart, you’ll surely have a good time there. The restaurant serves variety of cuisines including south India, north India, continental and more. They have options of both buffet and a la carte, plus every night you can enjoy barbecue and drinks with bonfire.
We enjoyed the nature walk with Mr. Sudesan Kuttappan, a senior naturalist, who made us experience the flora and fauna at it’s best.
The resort also provide binoculars for star & moon gazing. Isn’t it all so good? But what’s more fascinating is even inside the premises of the resort, you’ll have chances to spot deer, jungle rabbits, elephants, peacocks and more.
The breathtaking view of western ghats is something that surely helps The Serai gain some extra brownie points.
The second day, we went for jungle safari. We were accompanied by Sunil Sachi, who is a wildlife expert and a snake enthusiast. He told us how he spotted a leopard the previous day which made us hopeful about spotting a tiger during our safari.
And guess what? WE ACTUALLY DID! Woah! What a moment it was. Though, I got freaked out for a moment (and it wasn’t just me) but trust me, that was THE MOMENT of our trip. Here’s what I managed to bring for you guys. If you follow me on my social channels, you must have already seen the pic.
All in all, it was a great trip. All thanks to the team of The Serai, Bandipur for making our stay so warm and comfortable and the entire team of Skreem, especially Harsha, Ahaan & Pruthvi.
What makes the trip more memorable is the company you have. I am glad I was accompanied by Parampara, Oindrila, Rudra, Nikita, Harry, Prateek, Jahnvi, Shehnaz, Kevin & Shafi. We went there as a group of strangers who shared the same love for travelling and came back as friends!
