Often we feel stressed and exhausted for no reason! At times, we just don’t know what to do and feel confused. Now is the time at so much negativity is in the air, people are ill perhaps losing lives to this deadly virus, going jobless, and what not. Even if something doesn’t have happened to you directly (touch-wood), still it subconsciously hits and affects minds making one feel tired, low and exhausted. That is the time when we need to feed our soul. We need to feel rejuvenated, energised and joyful from within. In this post, I am sharing 21 ways to feed your soul and make you feel energised and joyous from within.
21 Ways to Feed Your Soul
- Spend at-least 10 minutes of your day in a hobby, like singing, dancing, painting, scrapbooking, gardening, craft work et al.
- Meditate; if you are not sure how, there are 100s of guided meditations available on youtube for free. Pick the best one for you from there and get started
- Help someone in need, physically, financially or emotionally
- Eat your comfort food while just relaxing. For example, a bowl of hot maggi while watching a harry potter movie in the night

- Forgive someone
- Talk to an old friend; now in this case your conversation might started with a taunt from a friend saying ‘arey bade dino bad yad kara?’, or ‘oh! aj suraj kidhar se nikla’, but you have to be polite and simply say that you felt an urge talking to that friend today, hence called…
- Play with your pets; if you don’t have a pet, simply go and feed a stray animal, a dog or a cow maybe.
- Spend some time with the nature, for nature is the best healer!
- Talk to yourself! This might sound weird but do this. When you are alone, stand in front of the mirror and give an update about yourself to yourself as if you are reporting to your boss. Talk everything from setbacks to goals and expectations and relationships to yourself.
- Spend some time with kids, become a kid and play with them, dance with them.
- Do a random act of kindness (linking at the end of the article)
- De-clutter and clean your wardrobe or your desk. This is my personal favourite!
- Inhale-exhale your favourite perfume or fragrance for 20-30 seconds
- Walk barefoot on the grass
- Treat yourself with a spa or a massage
- Take a long relaxing bath with candles and bath-salts, put on your favourite songs as well
- Let go the inner-perfectionist for sometime and take a chill pill
- Watch a live-theatre of your comfortable language
- Be the chef of the day and cook for everyone
- Spend time watching the stars and the moon at night, maybe with a telescope
These are 21 ways to feed your soul. Try these and see what you feel! You yourself will notice the difference from within, that’s for sure!
