From Kanpur to Kanyakumari

I know I’m late in posting about my trip to South India dated : 11feb ’13 to 17feb ’13 . I actually was a bit occupied.
But to tell you all, it was surprisingly an amazing tour. I got a chance to see an entire new face of my Nation.

Though I belong to Kanpur, U.P. ( Presently famous as the city of Dabangs, Gosh I really don’t like this title ) and have kind of lived in cities like Mumbai, Delhi & Lucknow and Also, I have visited to almost every tourist place in India, This trip to South India was I must say very different. I was not aware of the language. I really felt like an alien.People were simple and shy. Girls mostly wore suits and have had tied up their hairs tightly.
It was kind weird but amazing. One thing I loved about people of South India was they were really simple and down to earth ( At-Least i found them to be the same).
My tour included the cities like Kovalam (My Favorite), Kodaikanal ( Second most favorite) , Chennai, Madhurai, Trichy, Tirupati ( I hope I’m not missing any city ) and above all India’s Land’s End – Kanyakumari.
Standing at the end point of my Nation, gave really a very different yet great feeling. The above snapshot which I have posted was being taken there only using Google Maps.
One Interesting activity I came to know about Tamil Nadu is that On any big occasion, may it be a wedding or first birthday party of a child, People place posters and hoarding of that ceremony on the roads along with the pictures of their idols. I saw many posters which had photos of Rajnikant.
Yes, people really worship Rajnikant like a God. Even my Driver was a big fan of Rajnikant and Dhanush. Ahh, and not to forget, My driver. He was really a kind gentleman who was willing to learn Hindi. We ( My and My Brother) really had a great time in making him understand the bollywood song lyrics and other common words.

Though I have travelled across the nation but this experience was something very different. The most important thing I realized being there was that it is not necessary to know the language of each other to have the conversation.
If we actually want to share something with one-another, then we will surely be able to talk without even knowing the language and without the fear of getting misinterpreted or misunderstood.
Language is really not a bar, till the time we know the language of heart ( and sign of-course) and till the time we really have an urge to have the conversation.

I would cherish the moments of this trip forever.

It was really great being there.
