Four More Shots Please Honest Review -Where’s The Story? Spoiler Inside!

I watched the first season of Four More Shots Please on Amazon Prime and felt it was an okayish (if that’s a word) show. Second season really made me wonder, where is the STORY?

The second season begins right where the first one ends where the girls have parted ways due to unmatched opinions. The season begins with Sidhi Patel (Maanvi Gagroo) making a drunk to Umang Singh (Bani J) and telling her that she is on the verge of giving up on life. This makes Umang contact Damini Rizvi Roy (Sayani Gupta) and Anjana Menon (Kirti Kulhari) after 6 months which makes them fly to Istanbul to find and help Sidhi, only to see that she is hooking up with a random stranger and nothing really happened.

Damini, who is a writer is shown to have been a strong character this season. She stands her ground at all times even when her book is brutally bashed. Damini struggles with her love life and is stuck between choosing from the love of her life Jai (Prateek Babbar) and also the attractive gyno Dr. Warsi (Milind Soman). She also becomes pregnant with Dr. Warsi’s child.

Anjana breaks up with her boyfriend and starts dating a successful advocate who makes her believe that he is in an open marriage.

Umang gets back with Samara Kapoor (Lisa Ray) and they decide to get married, while a stand-up comedian helps Sidhi discover her inner talent of being a stand-up comedian which helps her gain fame, but she still stalks her Ex Mihir.

The performances of the characters are bolder but not brilliant. The story is quite average and is full of cliché moments. It’s not anything remarkable. With a lot of sheet’s moments, at times it feels if the motive is just to show erotic moments to gain viewership.

Too much of melodrama makes it get a little annoying at one point. Anjana one of the girls at one point is shown worrying and crying how her ex-husband will be able to take the custody of their daughter and the next moment she is sleeping with another man. There are some adorable moments as well. The series meant to be shown about women living on their own terms and conditions and being at each other’s disposal and support. However, this is not the major theme of the show. It is a show about sisterhood though. The season does have some cringe worthy lines (Damini in one of the scenes says to Jai, ‘Jai, I was not cheating on you. I love you only, with Dr. Warsi is was only s** nothing else), and a lot of cliché moments.

In the last episode (because they wanted to leave a scope for next season, I feel) they tore everyone’s world apart. I won’t tell the spoiler here, just in case even after reading this review, you wish to watch it.

Final thoughts on this:

For the ones who like watching series that have no story, no plot just fancy clothes, cliche lecture on feminism, bed scenes etc, this is for you.

If you like sensible, fun, light hearted, thriller, suspense, comedy etc serials, don’t this will waste your time.

This was my Four More Shots Please Honest Review. I must say, The Trip (season 1 & 2) on Bindass was far better than this one.
