CAL Cosmetics – First Impression & Products Tried & Availability

CAL Cosmetics is a premium brand that was launched in 2016 in India. It promises luxury quality beauty products at budget-friendly prices. If you follow me regularly, you know how much conscious I am about the products that I use on my face. Since my skin type is oily-to-sensitive, I avoid experimenting new products on my skin. Recently I came across CAL Cosmetics Los Angeles. Their wide range of makeup products tempted me to try it out; and also because the products itself seemed great and the price was budget-friendly.

First Impression:

As I opened my package, I was so happy to see the variety of products offered by CAL. I really liked the premium packaging of all the products. The mild fragrance from the products instantly made me feel happy. They have recently changed and revamped the packaging which looks really nice.

The products that I tried are:

Insta Beam Illuminating Primer Oil
Pore Correcting Mattifying Primer Base
SILK Mattifying Loose Powder
Skin Perfector Foundation
SCULPT Blusher

CAL cosmetics brief review:

Let’s begin with the lipsticks. I really liked the wide range of lipsticks available with CAL; imagine they have over 25 shades. That’s really nice. The texture of the lipsticks was good and I loved the shades.

Same goes for the correcting palette. The palette is in cake form that is easy to apply and has an amazing coverage on dark spots, pimple marks and blemishes.

Even the foundation was nice and didn’t feel cakey on the face.

Frankly, I tried all the products and liked it, especially the SILK mattifying loose powder and the SCULPT blusher. I will be posting details review in another post for sure.

Initially I was a bit skeptical about using these new products because my skin is prone to acne and it gives me nightmares even when I think of a skin reaction. But when I read about the ingredients of CAL cosmetics, I was assured that it is safe to use on my face.

The price range is also budget-friendly. Within their collection for face, lips and eyes, the average cost is Rs.250-600. The products start from Rs.170 and goes up.

Some brands are over-priced and fail to give quality products but with CAL, I was so happy as the products were top notch and the price didn’t burn a hole in my pocket.

Will I recommend it to you?
