Walt Disney Biography:

Walt Disney born on 5th December in the year 1901 in Chicago, Illinois and was a very popular American animator, entrepreneur and a showman. He was a co-founder of Walt Disney Productions along with his brother Roy that later on came to be the most favourable motion-picture fabrication theatre group in the whole world. He is also famous for creating the famous cartoon personality Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney was well known for creating the most innovative and creative cartoon characters and also shaped up amusement parks like Disney world and Disneyland.

Father of Disney was an Irish-Canadian and his mother was a German and he was one of the five children they had. The majority of his childhood years were spent in Missouri and it was here he learnt drawing and painting and earned money by selling these pictures to his friends and people in the neighbourhood. In the year 1911, he moved to Kansas city with his family. It was here he developed the liking for trains as his uncle was a train engineer. Later in life he worked for railroad, sold different snacks and newspapers to the travellers passing from there.

At a tender age of 16 he left school and joined the army but as he was underage he was not selected. In 1919 he moved back to Kansas city and joined the local newspaper as a cartoonist. Later on Disney became very popular as he contributed immensely in the entertainment industry in 20th century. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was his first successful series that was created by the Disney studio for universal studios Charles Mintz. After that Disney along with his brother Roy founded Walt Disney productions and from here on looking back for both the brothers. Currently the annual profits are nearly U.S. $40 billion. Disney in his life got 26 Academy Awards and was nominated atleast 59 times. With parks all across the globe in the countries like United States and global resorts in Japan, China and France the revenues are increasing with each passing day. Walt Disney died in the year 1966 as he suffered from lung cancer in Burbank, California.
