The only thing we can resort to are the snacks. Thus it is equally important to prepare some delicious and ready to have snack items too for diwali and feed our guests.
Diwali Snack Recipe Ideas:
Namak para – Easily prepared at home using daily flour, semolina and black pepper powder and can be served alongwith hot tea or just like that.
Sev – there are many varieties of this like ratlami, besan or kara. It’s a very common snack during diwali.
Cornflakes chivda – you can use cornflakes cereals to make a healthy diwali snack item. Chivda means spicy mixture.
Chakli – whole wheat flour mixed with turmeric chilly powder and salt along with yogurt and prepared easily at home. They are also called murukku in South India.
Mathri – a popular snack from North India, it is prepared using flour, salt sooji and pepper powder and boiled after preparing dough.
Seedai – Also from South India, these are small pebble like balls of urad dal flour mixed with sesame and coconut and boiled after making small balls from the dough.
Gathiya – A crispy and crunchy snack, which can be mixed with other snacks or have on its own too.
