There is a village located just about 10 km from Munnar called Devikulum. This is a quaint little village which is has very less visitors. The name of this village has been derived from 2 words – Devi which means Goddess and Kulam which means a pond. There is a lake called as Sita Devi Lake in this village which is believed to have the healing powers.

According to the legends, Mata Sita bathed in this lake once turning its water into holy water. This Sita Devi Lake holds a great significance for Hindus and worshippers for Shri Ram & Mata Sita.
