What to Do on Valentine’s Day if You’re Single?

Most of you think being single on Valentine’s day sucks big time! Well, NO! And I can say this because I am single since really a long time and have celebrated Valentine’s day every year in different ways. I don’t hate Valentine’s day and am not really a big fan of it either. But hey, if you are fan of Valentine’s day but single and wondering what to do on 14 feb, then this post is for you!

For me, it’s just another day and I would be more than happy if I find someone (with someone I mean that someone special) who is less cheesy and more romantic in real sense. With time, I have understood that fine difference between being cheesy and being romantic and hence, I am really not a fan of PDAs. BUT, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to celebrate Valentine’s day. Like mother’s day, father’s day, etc even Valentine’s day is a sweet day.

ENJOY A MOVIE MARATHON: The best thing rather than sulking alone is to treat yourself with the movies you like to watch. IT can be of your favorite actor, actress or genre.

HOST A SINGLES ONLY DINNER PARTY/NIGHT OUT: Toast yourself along with your single friends and celebrate your Independence. Enjoy a party where only singles are allowed. You can host a party at your home or at your favorite outing place. One of the best chances to meet up those people whom you haven’t met for a long time. Invite all your single friends from the group and enjoy a get together and have fun games, bonfire, pool party, etc.

RECONVENE WITH YOUR CREATIVE PASTIME: Enjoy your creativity and play with them. Take out your ME time for your hobbies and things you have always wanted to do. Enjoy things you are good at but never got time in your busy schedule to work on them. Your long lost creative hobby is the best thing you can work on. Be it, playing any musical instrument or crafting a canvas. Pull the beloved tool and start working.

LAUGH IT UP: Laughing boosts your mood and reduces the stress and make you feel lighter. On the V-day, if you are sulking at home then enjoy funny moments with your friends or family members. You can watch comedy shows or meet your friends and have some amazing chit chat that includes humor.

TRAVEL SOLO: There are many places where you can visit in February both in India and Abroad. Make plans, pack your bags and enjoy a solo trip to any of your favorite destination that you have been longing to visit. It can either be some adventure destination or a place where you find peaceful environment.

CLEAN YOUR SPACE: It is rightly said that “A clean house is a happy house”.  Turn on the music you like and head start spring cleaning your house. Check out if any changes can be made to give your space a new look.

BE LAZY: One of the best parts of being single is that you can be as lazy as you want. There is no pressure on you to do something exciting or buy some expensive gifts to show your love and care. Simply order your favorite meal, get on your couch, binge watch your series or favorite T.V. shows and relish the luxury of laziness.

The idea is to make you realize that you are special, in your own ways and you don’t need anyone else to make your feel special. Don’t rush into getting in a relationship, it will happen when the right time would come… until that time, hold on and fly!
