The Park, Hyderabad (Part 1)

The Park, Hyderabad
If you people follow me on Instagram (@anamikawrites) or Snapchat (mi_anamika) then you must be knowing about my short-trip to Hyderabad.
For all those who don’t know (because you still haven’t joined me on these channels… and you are missing all the live action) I visit Hyderabad on 7th March for a speaking event in Hyderabad, hosted by Accenture.
It was my first trip to Hyderabad. I have heard a lot about the city and was really excited to see the famous Char Minar as well. About my event (still waiting for the pictures) and all things touristy, I shall share in another post. Here, I am going to show and share about my stay in The Park, Hyderabad.
The Park is a chain of 5 star luxury and boutique hotels in India. It was my first time in The Park and I was not really sure if I’d like it or not. The reason being was I have experienced living in so many awesome 5 stars that I hardly believe in taking risk and changing the brand.
The Park, Hyderabad is situated near Raj Bhawan next to the famous Hussian Lake (yes, the same lake where Buddha’s big statue is there)
I reached my hotel at 1 AM so straight away jumped into my bed and off to sleep without even checkout how my room was!
Next
morning, I got up at 6:30 AM to a wonderful view of swimming pool and
Hussian Lake. That impressed me. I like room with pool (or any water
body) views.
…and this was my room!

Hotel is massive and beautifully decorated. Most of the decorative stuff and furniture were modern and chic.

It has a pool side restaurant called Aqua. I really love it and the live band performance made the experience even better.

Verandah is another restaurant where breakfast buffet is conducted. It is next to Aqua and has got lake as well as pool view.

…and the best was Aish, a fine dining restaurant. It was classy, traditional and totally amazing.

This restaurant had real silver utensils, perfectly royal!

I also got a chance to check out their night club Kismet which is Hyderabad’s best night club (as they told me). Almost all bollywood celebrities visit Kismet when in Hyderabad. It was good and the night I visited was a ladies night, so it turned out to be a better one… if you know what I mean!

There were few hiccups about the room and the services that I think they should work on. Following things I found were not according to my expectations:
– No dedicated makeup table or dressing area in the room
– No bathrobes
– The mini fridge was empty. I asked them to fill, then they brought the stuff and filled.
– Nothing to munch in the room (like chips, wafers etc.)
– Badly lit bathroom (accidentally turned on the top shower knob instead of the hand shower, that too hot water side)
– Staff language problem
Rest all was fine. And of yes, WiFi was really good. All in all, I had a comfortable stay.
My ratings for The Park, Hyderabad: 3/5
