Location of The Cape Goa

The Cape Goa is located in Cabo de Rama, a serene part of South Goa. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Goa International Airport, making it easily accessible yet wonderfully secluded. The resort’s location is perfect for those who want to unwind and enjoy nature without the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas.

Accommodation/Rooms

The resort features only four luxurious cottages, ensuring a private and exclusive experience for all guests. Each cottage is designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the sea from your own private terrace. The interiors are beautifully decorated with a mix of modern amenities and rustic charm.

The rooms have all the amenities – luxury comfy king-size bed, AC, fridge, geyser, writing desk, dressing table, smart tv with Netflix. Highlight for me was the private jacuzzi, the huge mesh to lay on at the balcony and the room with view.

Like you can simply lay down on your bed and enjoy the sea view all day and night, uninterrupted.

Dining at The Cape Goa

The on-site restaurant at The Cape Goa is a culinary delight. Best thing is, when the resort part closes for about 2 months for maintenance during the peak monsoon, the restaurant is ALWAYS open all year round.

The menu offers a mix of Goan, Indian, and international dishes, all prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Dining here is an experience in itself, with the sound of waves crashing below and the sun setting over the horizon.

They have live music from 4 to 7 pm everyday which makes the experience even more amazing. The vibes are great.

Restaurant timings are 12noon – 10:30pm everyday.

Private Beach

While The Cape Goa is perfect for relaxation, there’s plenty to do if you’re feeling adventurous. You can take a leisurely walk down to the private beach, where the waters are perfect for a swim. And because its a private beach, there are no outsiders, so you don’t have to feel hesitant about your swim suits. There are only resident guests i.e. gentry is always good!

You won’t believe, we went at least 3 times a day to the beach and couldn’t get enough. Such a great experience it was!

Nearby Attractions

If you wish to explore beyond the resort, Cabo de Rama Fort is just a short drive away. This historic fort offers stunning panoramic views and a glimpse into Goa’s rich history. There are 3 beaches within 9 kms (about half hour drive) – Cola beach, Agonda beach and Cavelossium beach, you can visit these as well.

What else to Know

  • The staff is very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help
  • Room service is quick, although during the peak hours it may take up to 40 mins depending upon the order
  • They have cute Nokia phone as the intercom, nostalgia hitting hard
  • If you decide to hit the beach after sunset, you should go at your own risk because tides are high and beach is rocky, you may hurt yourself if not careful
  • There is no lift, you will have to climb stairs, although its not that much, but ya fyi. Also, don’t worry about the luggage that will be taken care of by the resort
  • They also provide decorations at extra cost, like romantic candle light dinner, birthday decor, floral Jacuzzi decor etc.
  • Airport taxi available at request, charges extra
  • Tariff starts about 16k per night, subject to change

Best Time to Visit The Cape Goa

The resort part of The Cape Goa closes for monsoon from 10th June and reopens on 5th august, so you can make your bookings accordingly.

The restaurant is open all year round, if you visiting Goa in the peak monsoon, please go for a lunch or evening snack in this restaurant and you will thank me for suggesting as the views will be simply mesmerising.

The best time to visit Goa is between November and March, when the weather is pleasant and perfect for beach activities. However, the monsoon season from June to September has its own charm, with lush greenery and dramatic skies, though some activities might be limited.

Tips for a Great Stay

  • Booking tip: Book early as due to limited cottages, this resort is always booked. Also, mine was an Ocean Edge Superior Room Cottage 1, book this one if possible, it has THE BEST VIEW.
  • Pack Light: Casual beachwear is the norm, and the resort provides most of the essentials.
  • Try The Cape Goa Dining Experience: Don’t miss out eating in their in-house restaurant in the evening for live music and amazing food. Must try their Tomato Caper Spaghetti and Veg Burger & Paneer Tikka Masala, I personally loved it
  • Sunset Views: Make sure to catch the sunset from your terrace or the restaurant – it’s a magical experience.

The Cape Goa offers an unparalleled experience that combines luxury, nature, and tranquility. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply need a break from the everyday hustle, this resort provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. It is also suitable for family, friends or even the couples who are on a romantic escape. From the stunning views to the exceptional service, The Cape Goa is truly a tropical paradise. I loved my time here and I am surely going to go back! Highly recommended.
