I loved Kodaikanal. I was not expecting Kodaikanal to be such a beautiful place. Although it felt similar vibes to Ooty only but this is a serene and nice place. Kodaikanal is a little hill station in Tamil Nadu. It is famous for its beautiful lake, lush green mountains and valleys. It is also famous for handmade chocolate. The main bazaar road of Kondaikanal has tons of shops from where you can buy handmade chocolate. We went to this famous shop called The Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory.
This shop aka chocolate factory is famous for handmade chocolates, organic spices and natural oils.
The guide told us that they made some of the best types of handmade chocolates and with over 25 varieties. I love chocolates so I had to try it out. The Cocoan Bean Chocolate Factory
We tried chocolates from this shop as well as other shops for free and then came back to this one, because they actually had some really nice chocolates. This is not a sponsored post, just FYI!
I actually liked their chocolates, especially the regular chocolate, crackle and milk chocolate. They also had sugar-free chocolates just in case you prefer that.
And frankly. I found them to be bit pricey but since their crackle was so good so that I got from them. Otherwise, almost all shops have same taste of chocolates especially normal, milk, dark chocolates, it tasted the same.
So, my verdict will be if you goto Kodaikanal and visit the bazaar road near bus stand, just take a walk and visit different shops and try the handmade chocolates for free and then pick from anywhere you like.
Though yes, this shop is a good. I also bought some essential oils like lavender, rose, ylang ylang, tea tree from here.
So if you are thinking what’s the hype about The Cocoan Bean Chocolate Factory in Kodaikanal, well I’d say nothing much!
