Fascinating places in India: Hanging pillar temple

Shani Shignapur:

Shani Shingnapur is located in Maharashtra  where it is said that there has never been any record of a crime so far. All the houses are without locks and the UCO Bank has also opened a ‘lockless’ branch in this village which is said to be the first-of-its-kind in India.

Bibi Ka Maqbara:

It is a replica of Taj Mahal and is located in Aurangabad. This monument was built by Prince Azam Shah and it was a tribute to his mother. It is also known as Mini-Taj Mahal. It is just few hours drive from Mumbai.

Hanging Pillar, Lepakshi:

It is located in Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh which is just 120 kms away from Bangalore. It has a strong connection with Ramayana and the Hindu culture. Can you imagine pillars standing without any support. Yes, you will get to see the hanging pillars too.

Shetpal:

It is located in Maharashtra and is known as land of snakes. You can see cobras resting in most of the houses and they aren’t scary at all. People are used to having cobras in their place and there hasn’t been any case of snake bites so far.

Kodinhi:

It is located in Kerala and is known as Twin Town. There are more than 350 pairs of identical twins.

Mayong:

It is located in Assam and is known as land of black magic. Enough said!

Roopkund Lake:

If you watched India TV for a long time (like me) you must be knowing about this place. It is located in Uttarakhand and is known as the lake of skeletons. Scary!
