I really hope you all are doing well. Finally, I shifted to a new flat in Delhi and got settled. Though, I still feel something is missing… I am trying keep myself busy in work! Not to forget, it has been a mad month for me. I just can’t wait for my upcoming road trip to Leh & Ladakh that’s planned for next week.
Anyway, as promised… Here’s sharing my experience with Namah Luxury resort at Jim Corbett.
When I got an email from one of our organizers, I instantly said yes for this trip because it was to Jim Corbett, one of my favorite places. Previously, I have visited the other part of Jim Corbett National Park i.e. the museum, dhikala range and corbett water fall. This time it was for Dhikuli and the itinerary included jungle safari as well. As it was going to be a new experience, I was very excited without aware of the fact that something more exciting is coming my way.
On 19th, I along with my group of 24 other people left for Namah from Delhi. The fun part was we all instantly gelled up which made me feel more comfortable. It took approx 5 hours for us to reach Namah.
Namah Luxury Resort is situated on a bank of river Kosi, amidst Corbett jungle. The moment I entered the premises of the resort, I felt that it was that ‘Much Needed Break’ that I was looking for. Namah is no wonder the best place to escape the hustle bustle of life.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff, musicians playing folk music and were served with refreshed fresh kumaoni fruit juice.
To maintain the eco-friendly environment inside the resort, there are eco-vans to travel which is really good. It helps keep the environment fresh and free from pollution. Impressive!
First night, I had to share my room with one of our group member. Heré’s the sneak peak of my first room!
Later that evening, we saw folk dance performance and then live music during dinner.
The room was very spacious and had a private balcony. I and my roommate spend an hour sitting in our balcony where we discussed lots of fun stuff about each other.
That was really a fun night! Sometimes, all you need is a stranger with whom you can discuss your heart out… and then, that strangers turns into a friend for life.
Next day, I woke up to something that I desperately wanted to experience there- Heavy showers! It actually made my day!
I went for a refreshing Yoga session with Tarun Sir and his lovely wife, which was followed by yum breakfast.
Then I was allotted with a new room and therefore, shifted a room that had a better view than my previous one. See!
Later that day, we had an interactive session with the leading naturalist of India Mr. Imran Khan and GM of DS Group and other important people at Namah. It was pleasure to meet those dignitaries and interact with them over dinner.
After that, we (around 12 people) gathered in room no. 702 where we played cards and had a gala time together.
Day 3 was much awaited as we had our Jungle Safari planned! The pictures below will clearly express the level of my excitement.
Being it our last night in resort, there was a DJ Party organized for us. We danced our hearts out like there is no tomorrow. It was super fun and that was the moment when I realized that I have gained some really good friends for life.
Next day, we headed back to Delhi… with lots of fun memories and happy times in our hearts! I am sure what I felt that day is something that everyone in that trip must have felt. Yes, we didn’t want to part our ways. But as they say, every journey has to end… this was the end of our trip to Namah Luxury Resort.
About Namah Resort, Jim Corbett:
I really liked the location of that resort. It is situated at a prime location in Dhikuli Ramnagar which is just perfect to enjoy the serenity enveloping all of Jim Corbett park. Rare species of birds can easily be spotted there. Kosi riverbed is just behind the resort, which makes it look more beautiful. The view of mountains is something that makes one skip a heartbeat, yes! It’s that beautiful.
As it was a Yoga Retreat and we were there to celebrate International Yoga Day, every morning we had to attend a 2 hours Yoga session which was really refreshing (and required).
And if you are lucky like me, you will get to enjoy rainfall which will be the best thing that will happened to you during your stay in Namah.
The rooms are spacious, clean and have all the amenities. The ambiance is perfect to soothe your soul. Lush green lawns adds an extra charm to the place. Pratha is a restaurant where delicious delicacies can be enjoyed while Boond is their in-house bar.
There are also recreation and games room which will perfect to have fun with family or friends. The facilities of gym, swimming pool, steam, spa and sauna are also available. And yes, their WiFi is just fab!
All in all, my experience with Namah was super awesome. I really enjoyed my stay there. It is perfect place for rejuvenation.
