You know what? I still can’t take my mind off from those awesome and luxurious palaces of Mysore. Gosh! They were breathtaking and dreamy.
(Oh, and by the way… I have added few blurry photos in this post too! Pardon in advance for that)
The city of Mysore makes me remind of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan and the magnificent Mysore Palace standing huge and wonderful.

Mysore Palace is the official residence of former royal family of Mysore and is located in the center of the city. The palace is so huge, grand and splendid both from outside and inside. It has the architecture, designs and sculpture done with various precious stones and colorful decorations. The Palace looks more beautiful at night when the lights are lit all over it.

Lalitha Mahal near the Chamundi Hills is also another grand palace to visit and make you spell bound. The palace was built by KrishnarajaWodeyar IV in 1921 for the exclusive stay of the then viceroy of India. The palace is pure white in colourwith Italin styles and carvings.

Jagmohan Palace was built in 1861 by Krishnaraja Wodeyar III and it has three floors. It has housed the Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery since 1915. The collections of art exhibited include paintings of Raja Ravi Verma and painter Svetoslav Roerich.

The beautiful Brindavan Garden which is well known for most of the films during the 70’s and 80’s being performed here, has all the exciting things to enjoy which is so very photogenic. You must keep your camera and recorder ready to click some of the beautiful sceneries in this garden. The colorful fountains, the planned tree planted in rows, various bushes, the lights are amazing and wonderful.
The Happy Man Park, Butterfly park in Karanji lake are some of the places to be spent with the children for amusement and excitement.

Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum which is India’s first and was completed with 115 trucks loaded with sand and 150 sculptures. Regional Museum of Natural History, which has the specimens and preservation related to biological diversity, ecology and geology of Southern India. Folk Lore museum has the art and craft items to be seen. Rail Museum and Wax museum are some of the other places which can be enjoyed.
No wonder, this place can mesmerize anyone on Earth! What say?
