My Easy New Moon Rituals that You Can Follow Too

New Moon is Amavasya, meaning a start of new phase of moon cycle. In my previous post about Full Moon Rituals, I shared a brief about how moon has a huge impact on our lives and how walking and working with the moon be helpful to us magically. I am a Hindu Brahmin girl and I have grown up listening to moon tales and mentions of moon in our mythological epics. Performing various rituals during the New Moon is indeed a good thing. People often say that because Amavasya or New moon night is the darkest of all nights, the demonic and evil powers are at its most active state. Though, this is true but then again, it has nothing to do with our New Moon Ritual. Our ritual for New Moon is all about positivity and seeking blessings of our almighty and divine.

While full moon is all about releasing and letting go, New Moon is all about new Beginnings, setting new intentions and planting seeds.

If you are regular reader of this blog, you already know that I am addicted to journaling and it has been a huge part of my personal as well as professional life.

So here, in this post also I am sharing a New Moon Ritual which is actually a Journaling ritual for New Moon. Writing is really powerful and I am a firm believer in the magical power of writing. I write numbers, affirmations, switchwords, letters to the divine God/Universe, make positive doodles, sketches, and everything. It is like giving a proper picture and shape to your desires and dreams which can be touched and seen. I will share more about this in another post, so make sure you subscribe to my newsletter and follow me on my instagram and facebook to get the update.

This, 1 FEB 2022, is the first New Moon or Amavasya of 2022. This specific amavasya is Mauni Amavasya and many people keep a fast too.

Here is the New Moon Ritual for you. Since new moon is all about setting new intentions, so grab a journal and start writing these-

  • 1 Major thing that you want to bring into your life
  • 3 Changes you want to make into your life
  • 1 Thing that you want to manifest by next new moon
  • Affirmations of your intentions
  • ‘Thank you’ note or letter to the almighty for everything you have and everything you are about to get (God/Universe/Moon etc.)

Always end the journaling session with thank you.

Here are some important points to know about this ritual:

• You can do this for 3 days – a day before amavasya, on amavasya & after amavasya
• You can do it in your regular diary
• Light scented candles, sage or use an oil diffuser to make the vibes positive
• You can do it during the daytime, no need to wait for the night

Hope this helps! If you have any doubts about this ritual, have a specific wish to manifest or learn to use law of attraction to manifest your desires, wish to discuss a love problem and heal it, I do one-to-one sessions with people on this, along with other services too. You may book an appointment for the same here.

I also made a reel about this, show some love 🙂
