Kukur Tihar – Festival for Dogs in Nepal

Today morning, I came to know that today is ‘Kukur Tihar’. It is festival for dogs which is celebrated in Nepal. The next day to Diwali is called Kukur Tihar in Nepal, which means worship of the dogs. Dog, which is believed to be messenger of Lord Yamaraj, the God of death, is worshiped once a year on this day. People offer garlands and delicious food to the dogs, and acknowledge the cherished relationship between humans and the dogs. This day is observed as Narka Chaturdashi or Parewa in India.I too celebrated this day with my Ronnie.

Have look at his pictures wearing a garland. I guess he too enjoyed wearing a garland of colorful flowers.
