Jaadugar is a Netflix original movie starring Jitendra Kumar and Jaaved Jaffrey, released in 2022.
I have always been a fan of simple stories full of emotions with real-life touch and big messages. Jaadugar was one such movie. After watching Panchayat I wanted to see more of Jitendra Kumar movies and series’. I decided to watch Kota Factory but I couldn’t continue with it because it didn’t suit my mood of watching something like that. You might judge me for this but the first episode failed to make me feel connected. I am glad they released Jaadugar on Netflix.
Jaadugar Story Plot:
A magician named Meenu (Jitendra Kumar) from Neemuch, a small town in Madhya Pradesh, with zero interest in football must lead his local team coached by his chacha (Jaaved Jaffrey) to the finals of a tournament if he wishes to marry the love of his life but there is a twist.
The story is all about magic and love and family.
Jaadugar Review:
I have said this before also and today I will still say the same, I am a huge fan of Jaaved Jaffrey, especially his oratory skills. His speaks so well and his sense of humour is simply top notch. Who doesn’t ROFL’ed when he did commentary for Takeshi’s Castle.
Jaadugar is a very simple movie with a strong message about dreams, love, hope and magic. Acting-wise, every single actor in the movie has performed well. Though, at times it felt that movie was a big longer but then I really liked how they have maintained the pace of the story and picks up instantly from sad to funny in a jiffy.
The climax gave me goosebumps and made my eyes teary. The song Shabbash is sure to stay, just like the song Aashayein from Iqbal.
This is a time when OTT is full of movies and web series’ with mature subjects and plots/scenes not suitable to watch with family, Jaadugar is a movie that you can enjoy with your family and kids and is sure to leave a smile on your face. We have seen a lot of movies based on small-towns, where they use abusive language just to portray small-town people’s way of talking, which is so stereotypical. I am glad, Jaadugar’s director Sameer Saxena didn’t do that!
All in all, Jaadugar is a beautiful feel-good movie suitable for audience of all age-group. No gaali-galauch, No obscenity and absurdness, just a clean and funny movie.
