I am an iPhone user since iPhone 4. Recently I bought iPhone XR, though I had an option to buy iPhone 11 series too. Here’s is my honest review of iPhone XR and the reason why I bought it.
iPhone XR offers a 12MP rear camera which is the same smart HDR camera that comes with most expensive version of iPhones. This not only gives a better low light performance it also helps to bring out the highlights better in your pictures. Even with a single rear camera it can capture good quality portraits and can also remove the blur effects after the photo has been captured.
It boasts to have the fastest processor available in any phone. It takes not more than 40 seconds to transcode a 4K video to 1080pin Adobe clip app which is very good when compared to other phones in this range that takes more than 2.5 minutes to perform the same function. Even as per Geekbench iPhone XR supersedes its competitors with respect to overall performance and opening resource-intensive apps.
It display is fantastic and the screen size is also big enough. The home button is not present but this adds to the size of the LCD screen. The display and brightness is not only best indoors but also adapts very well and is very clear even outdoors. The battery life of the phone is also very good. It can easily last for up to eleven and half hours once completely charged. The audio of the phone is also very appealing. It has stereo speakers installed in it. Siri’s turn-by-turn works while driving even with the radio on. There is very less harshness in the sound even when you reach the maximum volume.
The phone comes with six different choices of colours. You get to select from blue, yellow, coral, red, black and white. You also get a fine colour matched aluminium edges. A seven layer colouring process has been used to give a gloss look to the phone and also increase the life span of the applied colours. The phone comes with a very affordable price range in its class. Thus, at last I would like to say that I bought this phone mostly because I got the best product in the market at a very economic price. The colour variant available makes iPhone XR a unique iPhone as it has never been provided by apple before. Red colour looks stunning with black LCD.
You also get an option to extend the internal memory of the phone at very affordable price. Except for few features, which are not at all relevant to everyone, the camera works very professionally like any other iPhone that comes with a much higher price. The battery life is also very good and you just need to buy an auxiliary charger to get the best performance of the battery. This add- on is only available for iPhone XR. The phone comes in a standard dimension that fits very perfect in the palms and is very comfortable and fast to operate.
This is a pretty iPhone and I like it. The screen size is apt for me, easily fits on my palm. Though when I was using iPhone 7plus, it at times felt a little bulky, (I often used to refer it as chota tv) but this is good.
Drawbacks:
After using it for a month, I feel it should had a button below or somewhere on the side to use the fingerprint impression option. Because face unlock feature is a little annoying and it’s so fast that the phone unlocks by itself even when I am walking on the and holding my phone. And yes, front camera quality could have been better!
