Honest Hotel Review: Radisson Lucknow City Centre (read this before booking)

If you’re planning a quick stop in Lucknow and looking for a budget-friendly stay, Radisson Lucknow City Centre might catch your eye. Duration my recent staycation to Lucknow, I booked this one as I was looking for a hotel which has all the amenities yet is within the city. This is my honest hotel review of Radisson Lucknow City Centre.

Located close to Hazratganj, the heart of the city, it’s convenient for shopping, eating, and soaking in the old-world charm. But there’s a catch—it’s tucked inside a narrow lane that’s almost always jam-packed. So, if you’re arriving by car, patience is key.

The Stay: Comfort with a Side of Maintenance Issues

The rooms are comfortable with all standard amenities, but they could use a little more upkeep. Nothing disastrous, just small signs of wear and tear that remind you this isn’t a five-star luxury experience. Still, for a 1-2 day stay, it does the job.

However, soundproofing? Non-existent. I woke up thinking someone was knocking my door, only to realize it was my neighbor’s. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs might be a good idea, otherwise you won’t be able to sleep only!

Service: Bring Your Patience

Room service is where things start testing you. I had to remind them 3-4 times before someone finally showed up. If you’re ordering something, plan for a wait and maybe send a couple of reminders just to be safe.

Food: The Saving Grace

One of the best parts of my stay was the food. The breakfast spread, in particular, had a lot of options, making up for some of the hotel’s other shortcomings. If you’re someone who loves a good morning meal, you’ll be happy here.

Verdict: Worth It for a Short Stay

Radisson Lucknow City Centre is a decent choice if you’re in town for a night or two and want to be close to Hazratganj without spending a fortune. It has restaurant, club, gym, spa and a swimming pool. Wifi is also good. The location is prime (if you can handle the traffic outside), the food is good, and the rooms are functional. But if slow service and noise levels are deal-breakers for you, there are other options within the same budget range that might be worth exploring.

Would I stay here again? Maybe— but I’d keep my expectations in check.
