If you follow me on social media, you must be knowing about my recent trip to Agra to explore Agra Beyond Taj with Tourism Guild of Agra & Uttar Pradesh Tourism. During my trip, I was hosted by Hotel ManSingh Palace which is a 5 Star hotel in Agra, situated just about 1KMS from Taj Mahal. Yes! You can walk down to Taj Mahal from Hotel ManSingh Palace. The hotel is easily accessible as it’s right on the main road of Agra and I found it one of the best hotels near Taj Mahal. The Checkin process was quick and easy and the staff is really humble, friendly and welcoming.
Rooms:
Rooms were small and cozy and good for single person. I am not huge fan of big rooms, especially when I am travelling alone, hence I found the rooms to be decent for a solo traveller. This was my room!
I requested for a room with the view, hence I got a room where I could see the Taj from it’s window. The room had all required amenities like Tv, Fridge, Writing Desk, Locker, Cupboard, Tea maker, Water Bottles and Fruits. Iron was not available at the room, though I got the iron and it’s board after requesting it from the housekeeping department. The room service is good though it can be improved by making it quicker.
What’s More?
The hotel hosts a free Magic Show every evening at the lobby, which is for kids. There is also an astrologer available at the hotel, just in case you wish to consult.
There are souvenirs shops, gift shops, stones and apparels shops right inside the hotel, next to the lobby. And the good thing is, the stuff there is not even over-priced.
The hotel has a Bar and a restaurant where you can enjoy Buffet as well as A-la-carta meals along with live Gazal music. Head to my instagram to check the Live Gazal performance at the Sheesha restaurant of the hotel. If you go for A-La-Carta, I must suggest you to try their Tamatar Bhaja, it’s a veg dish but really tasty. They also have a beautiful waiting area at the lobby and of course, you cannot miss the beautiful royal garden of the hotel.
Parking:
Yes! This hotel has a huge parking. So if you are a road tripper, you need not to worry about car parking when staying at the Hotel Mansingh Agra!
Hotel Review:
All in all, I found Hotel Mansingh Palace Agra a good property to stay, especially if you are looking for 5 star hotels near Taj Mahal in Agra.
