I am proud potter-head and most of you must be knowing this. The magical world that kept us curious throughout the journey is unforgettable. All the characters of Harry Potter series are unbeatable and we cannot let them out from our head. Be it the books or the movies, Harry Potter series are irresistible.

Today, in this post I am going to share the famous characters of Harry Potter and their origin of names:

Harry Potter:

Harey means power and potter is the cemetery where orphans were buried. Harry, upon whom the entire series revolved is blessed with magical powers and it can be seen how he kills the devil and gets the victory.

Hedwig:

She was the patron saint of orphans and the only mode of communication  for Harry when he lived with Dursleys.

Lily potter:

A flower that reflects purity and immortality is the Lily flower. In the Harry Potter series, Lily gave her life to Harry so that he can use his magical powers to kill Voldemort.

Sirius Black:

It is named after the pole star which is also popularly  known as the dog star. It perfectly matched the characters of Sirius.

Remus Lupin:

If you are looking lupine, it means you are looking like a wolf.  Romulus was the founder of Rome and Remus was the twin brother of Romulus. The scientific name for wolf is Canis Lupin.

Hermione Granger:

The female version of Hermes is Hermione. The most powerful witch as per the Greek mythology was Hermione as she had immense power. Granger is  one character from the novel Fahrenheit 451, who aims at taking care of all literature and books. This is mainly due to her love for the books.

Ron Weasley:

It is referred to the animal Weasel who is said to be unfortunate among the animals.
