I had a layover at the short Chennai airport, while coming back from Sri Lanka. We reached the airport early morning and the only option open that time was Curry Kitchen. I am a fan of Dosa and Uttapam and so I decided to try Uttapam from Curry Kitchen. This post is about my experience and honest review.
Curry Kitchen, Chennai Airport
Curry Kitchen Chennai airport has a limited menu in the morning. They had listed poori bhaji as well but they were not serving it at that time, so I decided to try mix veg Uttapam.
The moment I saw my plate, I felt so so disappointed. Look yourself!
I am why will a restaurant serve Uttapam with aloo bharta (dosa filling) on top of it. It made the entire uttapam so soggy, gooey and watery, felt so so icky while eating it. It was all wet and so tasteless. I and my friend just ate the sides and the sambhar and left the remaining Uttapam.
Who serves like that? I am a fan of South Indian cuisines and have tries at some of the best South Indian restaurants in India and even in Dubai and Qatar. Even in Sri Lanka, they eat a lot of Dosa and Uttapam and we too tried at many places but never had such a weird experience.
The sides that we tasted, it was okay, not that great. Sambhar was good, but surely you will not spend 400 rupees just to drink sambhar!
I had a bad experience, idk, maybe you can decide for yourself or maybe try their dosa.
If you ask me personally, I am not!
