Cafe Mondegar
Located in Colaba Causeway, walkable distance from the iconic Gateway of India, this is one of the most popular and oldest cafes in Mumbai. This was established in 1932 and is run by Yazdegardi family. The cafe is beautiful having all the wall arts done by famous painter and artist Mario Miranda. This cafe still has a jukebox (for those who don’t know what a jukebox is, it is huge box like a coke vending machine, where you put coins to listen songs – read this post for more: Cafe Mondegar, Mumbai – Why is it always crowded?) and you can still buy coins to listen old english classic songs. Almost all cab drivers know that place, so it is quite easy to reach!

Leopold Cafe
This one is also located in Colaba Causeway but is older than Cafe Mondegar. This was established in 1871 and still looks the same. It is presently owned and run by Iranis, Sherezad Dastur, Pers and Company. The popularity of this cafe can be traced back to many novels and old movies, especially Amol Palekar movies. Britannia & Co.
This beautiful Iranian cafe was established in 1923 and is located in Fort in Mumbai! f you want to see the real old Iranian Cafe, you must visit this one. Though the place is a delight for non-vegetarian people, it also has some really good options for vegetarians. You must try their beverages, especially Irani chai.

Prithvi Cafe – best travel blogger
This iconic cafe is located in Juhu and was established by Shashi Kapoor in the loving memory of his father PrithviRaj Kapoor in 1951. This is an open air cafe, with a temporary shade on it, just to prevent from the rains. The cafe premises also has the famous Prithvi Theatre and a Prithvi bookshop. This is one of the most loved places by artists, actors and authors and you might spot many Bollywood celebs here. You must try their stuffed aloo paranthas and chole-kuches, its super yum! And yes, this one is my personal favourite!

Sassanian Boulangerie
Established in 1913 in the Marine lines of Mumbai, Sassanian Boulangerie is another iconic Iranian cafe which is popular amongst the locals of Mumbai. Rustam K Yazdabadi, the founder of the cafe, started this one as a bakery but now they serve almost all popular continental dishes such as sizzlers and veg puffs.
