I am a traveller, a wanderlust and I have no shame in admitting it. Travelling inspires me and helps me explore more. It also helps me improvise my craft. I am tried almost every type of travelling and stayed in all sort of places. I have experienced living in a tent, a home stay, local lodges, ashrams, budget as well as luxury hotels. From Marriotts to Tajs and Hyatts, I have experienced all. All different types of accommodations gave my different experiences and I loved it. Here I am sharing the 7 best luxury hotels in India I’ve stayed in. It was really hard for me to pick 7 of all the beautiful properties I’ve stayed in but I have to.. I have not just included 5 star hotels of India but also luxury resorts in this list.
So, here you go!
1. Hyatt Regency, Delhi
Hyatt Regency is one of my favorites. This is was the first luxury hotel where I stayed all by my self on my first solo trip to Delhi back in 2013. Previously, I have only experienced 5-star hotel stays with my family so hardly got time to explore because we were always busy chilling and having fun together leaving no time to explore the property. You know how it is, when you travel with family!
2. Alila Diwa, Goa
Alila Diwa is a luxury boutique resort in Goa. I have shared my experience of Alila Diwa in one of my previous posts. It is a very beautiful and enchanting resort to enjoy your break. The rooms were big and luxurious and totally my kinda!
3. JW Marriott, Pune
Marriott hotels know how to pamper their guests. Pune Marriott is a wonderful place to enjoy luxury and calmness amidst city life. With all amenities available, yummy food and warm hospitality, I believe Marriott Pune is a perfect hotel for travellers who can’t compromise with their luxury!
4. Novotel Imagica, Khopoli
This is a recent addition to my favourite luxury hotels list. Novotel Imagica is a part of Accor hotels made in collab with Adlabs Imagica, perfect to spend a fun yet luxurious weekend. With all fun activities like games, salsa classes, karaoke etc being conducted here, it becomes an instant favourite for family holidays.
5. Namah Luxury Resort, Jim Corbett
If you like staying at off-beat places away from the humdrum of city life in a lap of nature, Namah should be next on your list. And you’ll be lucky if you get to witness the amazing rainfall while you stay. It’s an awesome luxury resort where you can enjoy your time with family or friends.
6. Sheraton Hotel, Hyderabad
Big rooms, delicious food, lake view and great hospitality this sums up my experience of Sheraton. This was my first experience with Sheraton hotels and I am really happy that I stayed in this hotel. It has the best club in town and perfect place to chill.
7. Hotel Andaz (Hyatt), Delhi
This is a different hotel with all decor & interiors having rustic touch. And this is what really impressed me! Service was really good and amenities, full-list! The rooms were really big and luxurious. I really liked the little corners of the room which had desks and tables mounted, and the window-mounted couch to over-look the pool. As it’s a part of Hyatt group, I thought it to be somewhat similar to Hyatt hotels but it was not and that’s why it’s on my list of best luxury hotels in India.
8. The Park, Chennai
Though The Park hotels are not among the most “talked-about” 5-stars and which made us very skeptical about our stay, but as it was a 2 nights stay and location was suitable for us, we opted. And now I can say, glad we made this choice. Ours was a lake + pool view room, which made evenings a little more peaceful.
9. La Ri Sa Resort, Manali
For this experience, I really have to thank Vivo for talking to me this place. It was one of the best experiences. This is a luxury boutique resort which has beautiful gardens, organic farm and apple orchards within the premises. The cottages of stone and wood blend interiors took my heart away in just first sight. I am surely going to go back to this wonderful resort real soon.
Okay! I know I had to create a list of 9 but couldn’t resist writing about La Ri Sa Resort. I was looking for pictures in my archive for room photos and came across room pics of this resort. Hence, added! Let me know if you’ve stayed in any of these or any better than these via comments section below. Don’t mention Taj Falaknuma Palace, it’s on my wishlist already.
