I have to begin the list with Sholay. I mean, who other than Jai-Veeru and their epic bond of friendship can give us #FriendshipGoals. Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge? Right?
- Dil Chahta Hai (2001)
Next comes Dil Chahta Hai. I think this is that one movie that aroused the ‘Goa trip with friends’ worms in most of the youth. Hai na?
- Rock On! (2008)
Friends, their dreams, some misunderstandings but then reuniting to live that dream once again, this movie is a must watch with friends.
- Dosti (1964)
A heart-warming story of 2 best friends – 1 blind, 1 lame (langda, legs disabled), and their hardships of life. I cried a LOT while watching this one. They don’t make such movies anymore!
- Anand (1971)
Starring Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, this is an unusual story of a friendship between a cancer patient and his doctor. I cry buckets whenever I watch this. GOD! What a movie!
- 3 Idiots (2009)
Behti hawa sa tha vo… Do I really need to say something about this one, rancho? 😀
- Hera Pheri (2000)
They never said it, but they are more than just roommates (or kholi-mates, to be more precise), they are friends who can’t live with each other and can’t live without each other. Hilarious and epic, this is what I have to say about Hera Pheri.
- Dhamaal (2007)
Whatever it is, after it IS a story of 4 friends and it is SUPER funny! A must watch with friends!
- Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992)
The original ‘student of the year’, and better (in fact, best) version of it, this movie is all hearts!
- Haathi mere saathi (1971)
We are talking about friendships and one of the best friends is of a pet and his/her master. This movie is all about a master and his pet Elephant. I found it really cute!
- Koi Mill Gaya (2003)
We are talking about unusual friendships, how can I miss mentioning Jadoo and his friend Rohit. Must watch with friends!
- Yaarana (1981)
A kind of bond that is shown in this bollywood friendship themed movie, I think it is rare to find. A rich businessman gives up everything to push his poor yet talented friend to make his career, just because he believed in him and his talent and he felt his friend’s voice should reach the world. What a heartfelt movie this is!
- Saajan (1991)
A friend who decides to sacrifice his love for his best friend, this is a very beautiful movie that says so much about childhood friendships and best friends.
- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)
This is one of the few new bollywood movies that I liked and talks so many things about friendship. Three friends meet for a bachelor trip and the journey changes their lives forever. And yes, this movie not just gave some major #FriendshipGoals but also #TravelGoals too.
- Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013)
This is another new Bollywood movie that I really liked and is about friendships. We grow, life happens but some bonds and some friends never change and this movie talks about the same.
- Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety (2018)
This is the newest addition in the list. This movie proves a saying wrong that love win when it’s a fight between lover and a friend. *Sings – tera yaar hoon main…*
- Rang de Basanti (2006)
Did you think I forgot this one? Well NO! This is one of the best bollywood movies on friendships!
- Munna Bhai MBBS (2003)
There was Jai-Veeru jodi and another one is Munna-Circuit. Indeed it’s a hilarious, bole-to mast picture hai yeh!
- Jaane tu ya Jaane na (2008)
Last but not the least, here a cute movie about friendships! If you have seen it, you know it. If you still haven’t, go watch it if you like watching college-romances!
