Gujarat is called the Jewel of the west of India and so is it capital city of Ahmedabad. There are various kinds of both artificial man-made and natural attraction to relax and refresh your heart and soul. I got a chance to visit Ahmedabad last year when I visit Rann Utsav in November. My visit to Ahmedabad was brief but I did visit a lot of places and learned about it. There are many beautiful places & good hotels in Ahmedabad. Therefore, writing this post with a brief idea of beautiful places and good hotels in Ahmedabad so that if you are planning a trip, you get an idea about what all places are there and also about some good hotels.
You may begin your trip with exploring the famous Sabarmati Ashram. This is the place where Gandhi Ji started his campaign against the Britishers. You should also visit the Sabarmati riverfront. But I would suggest you to visit the riverfront during the evenings as it looks even more beautiful in the evening.
The famous Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar with the magnificent carvings and architectural monuments will make you contended. The Girnar is another must visit for those who want to enjoy the natural scenic beauty of Ahmedabad.
Beside these there are the Calico textile museum which is world famous for its crafted textiles and handlooms manufactured from here and exported all across the world. Khijadiya bird sanctuary is another place where your children will love to see the various colored and multiple beaked birds flocking in the trees and in the water beds. Palitana temple, Sri Swami Narayan Mandir, Statue of Unity, Nehru Bridge, Nakki Lake Science Centre are great tourist spots in Gujarat which will realize your expectations and quench your purpose of visiting Gujarat.
There are many good hotels in Ahmedabad like French Haveli, Holiday inn Express Ahmedabad Ashram Road, Hotel Furaat Inn, Novotal Ahmedabad etc. The average price ranges from 1500 to 3500 per night as per the requirement and need of customers.
People looking for hotels near Ahmedabad railway station have also got many options like Radisson Blu Hotel Ahmedabad which is approx 3kms from the railway stations, Four Points by Sheraton which is also approx 3kms from the railway station and lots more. The Hyatt hotel, Hotel Ashish, The Fern Hotel are all five star category hotel to give you the ultimate relaxation with quality food and services you yearn for. Ginger, Ramada, Fortune Landmark, Regenta are also 3-4 star cadre hotels which has all the advantages to give you all the facilities with favorable ambience.
