Who on Earth doesn’t like to experience (or live) a luxurious life? Talking about myself, I have been brought up as a very pampered child of my house with all the luxurious amenities 24×7 present around me! So, I hardly prefer compromising with my luxury especially when I am travelling. (excluding the worst case scenario, which I haven’t encountered so far; touchwood!) I have lived in almost all 5 star hotel chains in India, but Alila Diwa luxury resort Goa was something really different.
At first, the entrance of the resort was not that pleasing because you need to cross a narrow road to reach the place, but once you’d enter this place… you’d definitely go crazy. It’s a perfect resort for calm and peaceful holiday.
This was the entrance… (the pic above) but once you walk-in to this resort, you’d definitely fall in love with this place. It is not a beach resort but it’s surrounded by lush green paddy fields and has a super beautiful pool. Gonsua beach is just 2 miles away from the place (walking distance only).
It’s a contemporary luxurious resort which has rustic interiors with modern touch. The open air jacuzzi and hot tub were something that I didn’t expect. It interiors and exteriors were inspired by traditional Goan design having high column ceilings, tranquil courtyards, steeply pitched roofs and cool verandas.
My room was an Alila Suite that really impressed me to the core.
Alila Diwa, Goa also offers other facilities like Spa, Gym, Library, Conference room etc. There are 4 options for dining- Vivo (Buffet), Spice Studio (Indian restaurant), Bistro (Int. multi cuisine) and Edge bar and lounge.
All in all, it’s a very impressive place that will surely make you fall in love with nature and of course Goa.
