I was in Mumbai around the time of Holi and after Holi celebrations, we headed straight to a restaurant. I was in Mumbai for a semi-official meeting and a friend of mine, who stays in Mumbai recommended that we go and eat out at Mantraa Bar and restaurant. She has been a regular visitor to the place and told me that this restaurant has recently updated their menu and introduced a lots of new dishes with interesting twists.
The restaurant looks spacious, neat and classic. The lighting out here is bright yet warm. The tables are placed at an appreciable distance from each other. The walls are decorated with large wall murals in bright color combinations. There are chair arrangements as well as Sofa seating for larger groups of people. There is a live bar counter and a live grill area, out here.
Other major highlights of this place are:
- Home Delivery is available here
- Accessible to older people on wheelchairs
- Live Bar
- Payment accepted through cash, cards and e-Wallets
- Valet Parking
- Separate Smoking Area
- Wifi
- Live Sports Screening
Let us talk in some detail about the dishes we ordered.I am a pure vegetarian so, ordered from the veg menu only. Though, they do have lots of delicacies in their non-veg menu, too. There menu has a lots of interesting snacks, mocktails and desserts to offer that tickle your taste buds.
Spinach and Kale Fingers –
If you love to try out snacks more than the main course, you will get plenty of options, out here. Spinach and Kale snacks turn the plain, old Green leafy vegetables into something very interesting. This snack has an interesting melody of herbal notes along with spicy chilly and melt in the mouth cheese. It is served with a Mayonnaise dip.
Spinach Squares –
This is a spicy preparation made with strong Garlic and Chilli flavours. The star ingredient surely remains the Spinach, here. This is one delicacy for the healthy food lovers out here. Highly recommended!
Rose Achaari Paneer Tikka –
The very loved Paneer tikka marinated with mix achari pickle dressing. It is served with fresh Onions rings and makes your taste buds dance with balanced notes of spice, salt and zesty flavours.Another one really recommended for trial.
Mexican Baked Nachos –
Nachos are my all time favorites and trust me on this, they have the best Mexican baked Nachos ever!
The mocktails we gave a shot to include:
Happy Ending – A non-alcoholic drink made by combining cantaloupes, fresh oranges, watermelon and hints of minced Ginger.
Rosemary frost made from Nitrogen: Raspberry puree with zesty notes of pineapple and liquid nitrogen for a glamourous froth and texture. It is a must try mocktail.
Desserts:
In desserts, we tried Banoffee pie. This base of this super tasty pie is made up of Digestive biscuits and butter. This one has a luxurious flavour of Caramel.
The quantity of most dishes out here is sufficient for two to three people to try out.
To wrap up, the ambience and music are great. The staff is very quick and courteous.Presentation of the dishes and mocktails is very quirky and interesting.
So, if you stay in Mumbai or are visiting the city, do give a shot to Mantraa restaurant and bar and discover an array of dishes.
