The beauty of Europe has always fascinated me. I am wayfarer soul and to feed my soul, I have already planned my perfect international tour to Europe. Most of you must be knowing, Paris is on top of my must-visit list. It’s the most favorite city of mine. And when I’d be travelling abroad to Europe to visit Paris, how can I miss visiting London, Central Swiss, Pisa and Rome.
Oh Europe!
Anyway, so here’s for first time… I am sharing my perfect international dream tour itinerary!
I have decided that I will start my journey from Delhi. It will be a long 20 days tour (I want to extend it to a month or two… God! Are you listening?). I will take an international flight from Delhi to London. Of all the Delhi to London flights, I will choose the one which has a layover of at least 8 to 12 hours in Dubai. I want to see Burj Khalifa too!
On reaching London, I will check-in to my hotel. If it’s night, then okay else I won’t rest and leave my room immediately after checking-in to explore London. First thing I want to see in London is Buckingham Palace. After that, riding on London Eye and visiting Warner Bros Studios. Gosh I want to see where Harry Potter was actually shot. Wouldn’t it be exciting.
Next two days, I will spend in sight seeing and would enjoy visiting tower of London, Big Ben, Natural History Museum, Sea Life London Aquarium, Royal Opera House, King’s Cross station and the local markets (of-course, shopping is mandatory)
After spending 3 days in London, I will take a train. Train route from London to Paris is breathtaking. It takes around 3 hours to reach and is an experience on its own.
On reaching Paris, first thing would be seeing Eiffel Tower in person. (Oh! Can’t wait for that day!). Then I shall checking to the hotel from where, Eiffel is clearly visible. One of my book editors lives in Paris. Eiffel tower is clearly visible from his bedside window. I hate him when he shares pictures to make me feel jealous. (But, I make him feel jealous by sending pictures of Nainital, Taj Mahal and Leh… He says wants to visit India once in his lifetime! It’s his dream vacation)
I will stay at least 4 days in Paris. I want to explore the local lifestyle of Paris and make friends there. I want to visit the oldest book shop in Paris and also eat crepes. So many things to do in Paris! The love lock bridge, The Louvre, Champs-Elysees and of course DISNEYLAND!
After Paris, I will board a flight to Pisa. Who wants to miss seeing the leaning tower of Pisa after all? It is approx 2hours journey by air.
Pisa is another fascinating city. There’s lot to discover in Pisa, like 13th century cathedrals, old forts and churches.
Stay in Pisa will be of 2 days which will include a walking city tour of Florence. After that, I will head to Rome.
The ancient city of Rome has got a lot a feed to literature and history lovers like me. This capital city of Italy will be my second last destination of this tour with 3 days stay. I want explore each and every corner of Rome in these 3 days, from Colosseum to St. Peter’s Basilica to Spanish steps and other old monuments.
After this, I will head to my the last destination of this tour which is also my second favorite dream city, Venice!
Venice has got a lot to offer to it’s tourists. The old Churches, monuments, cathedrals and museums… Venice is simply amazing. And yes, how can I forget the famous Gondola rides.
After staying here for 2 days, I will board a flight back to home, India!
I also want to include Santorini, Barcelona, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Athens, Berlin, Milan, Geneva and Frankfurt. But then, for this I will either have to break my tour into 3-4 parts or I will have to find a job where I get to visit these cities in 1 go!
Now, I after writing this post… I am even more excited to take this tour. But I guess I have to wait for this tour for a while. No worries! I am soon going to take my dream road-trip tour in July. I would reveal about it very soon. Can’t wait for that!
Sometimes I feel I would have lived better as a gypsy (an international one) than a writer!
