Nainital is THE MOST favorite place of mine for a short escape. It is just like a second home (one of my friend says this!!) Actually reason being is in every two or three month, I am spotted in Nainital. And people right now… I AM IN NAINITAL. Follow me on instagram for live updates, and by the way… it’s raining here! 🙂
This post was long due and was saved in my phone drafts. I’m glad that finally I’m posting it.
Nainital continues its run as a highly-favored summer retreat. It is one of the most budget-friendly hill stations in India. Boating on the lake, snacking and shopping on the flats and the mall, and trekking to several of the town’s cool points for views of the hill-town and distant snow-peaks are must-do’s.
Not only the adults, but kids would love their stay in Nainital too. They will love trips to the Zoo and the unique Eco Cave Gardens with its musical fountain. Treks to China Peak and other places in the inner folds of the hills are for the more intrepid visitors.
A game of golf can be enjoyed at The Governors House, but Gurney House the old residence of hunter-turned conservator Jim Corbett is now privately-owned. Kilbury is another popular place to visit that is famous for drives offering stunning views of the snowline. The forest around Pangot, 15 km away, is a popular site for adventure and camping lovers.
