India is a land of natural and cultural beauty and before planning a foreign destination for your trips, you should always try and explore your own country to the fullest. And if you follow me on social media and this blog, you must be knowing that I love road trips.

#1 Manali to Leh
They say, sometimes, the journey is as beautiful as the destination.While there is not an ounce of doubt that Manali and Leh both are beautiful places to explore, the way is breathtakingly beautiful too.The snow covered mountains provide a lovely site to cruise through.The total journey happens to be around 479 Kms.
#2 Chennai to Pondicherry along the East Coast Road:
With the sea beautifully flowing in all it’s glory, this road makes for a lovely drive for bikers as well as for cars.The reflections of the Sun are a delightful sight to behold.The total stretch is around 160 Kms and takes around 3 hours to cover. While in Pondicherry, you can avail stay at various Ashrams at minimal rates. Vegetarian food is readily available. This one of the best places to explore if you are into meditation and Yoga.
#3 Delhi to Jaipur expressway
This highway offers a smooth drive at a pretty affordable cost. Jaipur is a destination that you must explore if you love to know about India’s archaeological heritage,history and have a keen interest in photography.The splendid forts and palaces in the Pink city deserve a visit for sure.
#4 A drive from Mysore to Coorg
As the drive progresses, the city landscape beautifully transforms into a lush forest with  wild Bamboo and grasses alongside the road and then smoothly transitions into Coffee, tea and spice plantation. The total distance happens to be around around 251 Kms. There is plenty to click for nature photographers.A training camp for elephants known as Dubare, lies on the way where you can enjoy fun things such as cleaning the elephants, riding etc. Coorg is a heaven for those who love golf due to presence of numerous pastures.
#5 Mcleodganj
This not so explored hill station is located in the suburbs of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.Lots of Tibetans inhabit this place. The place offers a rich insight into Buddhist culture, craft, handicrafts etc. You can shop for Tibetan souvenirs and garments at very affordable prices.
#6 Udaipur
The city of lakes has some of the best palace themed hotels where one can thoroughly relax and Unwind. While in Udaipur, do check out the emporiums for some lovely Lehri ki sarees. Saheliyo ki baadi is a must check tourist attraction. The Grand city palace that lines along the lake Pichora let’s see enjoy some of the best views of the city.
#7 The Ajanta and Ellora caves
The sculptures, paintings etc in these caves have been chiseled by hand. Getting a tourist guide for 500 Indian bucks approx, these caves can explored.
#8 Neemrana Fort
Famous as a perfect location for destination wedding with Palace like rooms and cultural activities, spa etc along with beautiful lighting at night making the place a must visit. Best time  to visit is around Feb/March and Oct/Nov. It is a 125 Km drive from Delhi.Happy Road-Tripping!
