Diwali is almost here and I am sure you must have started shopping for it. Diwali being the festival of lights is all about diyas and candles. Personally I just love this aspect of Diwali. It looks magical to me. I am a DIY enthusiast and craft for me a way to de-stress and relax. Playing with colors, glitters, confetti, mirrors, tassels etc. all makes me happy. I was researching on web for some simple and easy DIY candles for Diwali. I came across 100s of designs but short-listed these 21. Sharing it here with you all, so that you too can DIY candles for Diwali and use it for Diwali decor at your place.
To begin with, you need to buy some raw wax, essential oils (for fragrance), glitters, colours, glue, candle gel (in case of gel candles) and some raw material to make the candle, depending upon the type of candle (that you can decide upon selecting the type of candle you wish to make from the ideas below). Simple and Easy DIY Candles for Diwali
- First idea is to make candles from orange peels. This also acts as a scented candle since orange peel naturally has fragrance in it.
- Hand-painted simple candles, these are made using old shots glasses and kitchen measuring jars.
