We often talk about women empowerment and gender equality, but how often do we appreciate the efforts of ones who actually survived the odds and stood strong for their beliefs? The Women of Substance award by SRL Diagnostics is one such initiative where they aim to recognize those women who dared to challenge the societal norms and inspired millions of other women to show courage and stand-up for themselves. This is the 3rd season of Women of Substance Awards.
I personally believe that it is a brilliant way to celebrate womanhood and encourage women empowerment. Kudos to SRL Diagnostics for taking this wonderful initiative! It takes a lot of courage to go beyond conventions and break the stereotypes in a male dominated world. Whether it’s an acid attack survivor, a female rickshaw driver or a woman who left her high paying job to serve the under-privileged, the respect for these women is enormous.
This International Women’s Day, I am really happy that SRL Diagnostics took this initiative to recognize the Women of Substance.
