Even if you are in Doha for just 1 day, you must visit Qatar national library. Located in the hypermodern education city, this library takes you into another world once you enter the main door. It might look small from outside because of its architecture, but from inside it’s MASSIVE and BEAUTIFUL. Also, before entering notice the huge book shape of the building.

This is not an old building. It was established in 2012 and is a body of Qatar Foundation for Education. This place is well stocked from book from all across the world. I tried to search my book as well, but it wasn’t there. They didn’t have books from other new Indian authors as well though they had old Indian books like My experiments with truth, the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi.

The vibes of this place were truly magical. I, being an author loved the place personally. But-obvious! Isn’t it? But my friend, who doesn’t even touch books loved the place as well. That’s the thing about Qatar National Library. It’s beautiful and wins hearts from its architecture.

Readers from all age-groups were comfortably seated on the bean bags, couches and chairs and were enjoying reading books. I wanted to sit and read something there as well like those readers, but couldn’t because we were running short of time and also, library was about to close.

You know there is an under-ground section in this library as well. That has some of the most previous books of the book. See this photo below. It indeed looks beautiful, like a maze of books.
