And now if you see there are several problems that are faced by the teenagers.Though they had to cope up with the hormonal changes that takes place in their body, parental pressure, school pressure and peer pressure. Parents are the only one’s who can help teenagers overcome their problems by being friends with them. Let me take you through the most common problems:
1. Stress is the main culprit
- Yes, teens these days face a lot of stress from their schools, friends and even parents. There are some ways to make them stress free.
- You make them understand the priorities of life.
- Make a safe environment at home so they have the sense of belongingness.
Have open conversation about how they are feeling.
2. Anxiety
You might wonder, why would a teenager face anxiety? According to the researchers it is proved that teens feel depressed and anxious. Being a parent you should keep an constant eye on them and watch if they show signs of anxiety or depression. Consult a doctor if you happen to see any such symptom.
3. Lack of Confidence
Most common among many teenagers. They sometimes find it hard to accept their own changes in the body. Sometimes they try to seek attention among their peers. They get offended for even a minor negative comment which leads them to lack confidence among themselves.
A parent should spend a quality time with their teenager and this way you can build up confidence in you child so that they feel secure at all times.
4. Bullying
Teens at times have to face bullying on a regular basis. It is necessary that parents and teachers take it as a social responsibility work closely and make sure that bring in anti-bullying campaign in place. It’s time to take stand for bullying.
5. Disrespect
People get a lot of misperception when we talk about respect. Making the teen that you believe in them and giving respect is equally very necessary. It is the responsibility of parents that they have the prime responsibility for representing respect but also demanding it from their children.
6. Trust
Teenagers have a lot of trust concerns and they brawl with it. While many of them do not find it necessary to seek for their parents advice. This leaves teens particularly weak. We can encourage them by asking for help from a trustworthy adult. They actually need a trustworthy counsellor or even a friend to guide them with their problem.
7. Motivation
Teens these days have high aims as they want the latest car or a better paying job. They also lack motivation in order to go ahead in achieving their goals. The parent can play the main role of making encouraging them in order to achieve success in their life. As a parent you can mentor your kid and can easily motivate your teens and help them make crucial decisions about their future.
