The Suryaa New Delhi – Hotel Review & My Experience

Whenever I travel to Delhi, either I stay in Aerocity, near Connaught Place or somewhere in South Delhi. This time as my meetings were in Noida, I decided to stay in a place with a closer proximity to Noida. While searching, I came across The Suryaa hotel located in New Friends Colony in New Delhi and decided to stay here. This is my honest hotel review and experience about my stay in The Suryaa New Delhi.

The Suryaa is one of the oldest 5 star hotels in New Delhi. It is an affordable 5 star hotel in New Delhi, tariff starting from Rs.4000 per night.

ROOM REVIEW:

I stayed in a club room. It was a nicely lit beautiful room with full-room carpet and multiple mirrors. I choose the queen size bed and it is very comfortable. The room had all the required amenities like tv, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and its ironing board, safety locker, writing desk and fridge.

I really liked the decor of the room, it was a perfect mix of traditional with modern decor. Lighting was also good and best thing was, it had lots of mirrors. Since my room was on the 6th floor, I had a good view of the city as well.

Here are the photos of my room:

Like all other hotels, The Suryaa too has many options for leisure. The Club One fitness and spa has a fully-equipped gym along with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam, and massage options to rejuvenate and wash off all the stress.

They also have a salon, where guests can avail treatments such as makeup, hair care, pedicure, manicure, bridal makeup, etc.

The swimming pool is a huge and every guest gets access to it.

Apart from this, you can also relax at the Artium lounge to play pool and other games and watch tv while enjoying your time.

CLUB BW:

Delhi’s nightlife is famous and Club BW is one of the top and most expensive clubs of Delhi. If you are fan of dancing, drinking and love to go to clubs, then BW is a must-go for you. Cost is approx 6000 for 2 including hard-drinks.

THE SURYAA, HOTEL REVIEW:

  • The check-in process was quick and easy, since I had already made my booking online. They also provide airport pick and drop service but it is expensive as compared to ola and uber.
  • The room service was a bit slow. My food came after 35 minutes in the noon and 40 minutes in the night at 1:30 am.
  • Their penne pasta is really good
  • The rooms were not THAT sound-proof which made me a bit annoyed at night because of the loud music coming from the club. Imagine, my room was on the 6th floor and still I could hear all the dhik-chik-dhik-chik from the club.
  • The location is good and easily accessible but is a bit far away from the airport and way too far from the railway station.
  • Less options in the breakfast buffet

CONCLUSION:

My stay was fine, the room was good and staff was kind and friendly. It is indeed a beautiful hotel with all the amenities but since it is so far from the airport, I would suggest you to book accordingly. It took around 35mins for me to reach the airport in the morning.

Will I be staying here again?

Well, I would like to explore other options!
