The Salt, Kanpur -Restaurant Review
It was fourth Saturday and I was totally in a mood to go out and chill. I usually avoid going out on weekends and love to spend time with family and in my bed, but today I wanted to chill as climate was really good. So, I decided to explore a new restaurant in town.
At present, I am in my home-town Kanpur and this place has got some really cool restaurants. Its a fab place for food-lovers. From street-foods to food-joints to lavish restaurants to hep lounges, you’ll get everything here. But It has been a long time since I tried a restaurant, so I searched on AskMe.com about the best restaurants in Kanpur and immediately this name ‘The Salt’ caught my eyes and the best part was, it was nearby my place.
It is situated in Tilak Nagar at Kanpur. It is a part Vijay Intercontinental.
I immediately called my bestie and within 10 minutes, she was here to pick me up. We reached there at 8:00 PM. Ambiance was really impressive. This was the entrance of the restaurant.
The staff greeted us with a smile. It is a part of 3 star hotel and without any doubt, it was totally worth it. Though, I found the restaurant dinning area quite small, means capacity was for 35-45 people only. But it was good. Couches seemed comfortable but we choose to sit on Maharaja seats.
This was the menu. Its a multi-cuisine restaurant. Vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians, both can satisfy their taste-buds. We thought of ordering some fast food kinda. I chit-chatted with the waiter to know what was their specialty. He suggested us to try Honey Crispy Chilli Potato & Veg Spring Rolls.
As I love chilli potatoes, I instantly agreed to go with the waiter’s choice and ordered this.
Within just 10 minutes, our order was here. This was really fast and quite impressive. Here’s what the food looked like.

Lighting was dim and peaceful though there was a kitty party going on, and ladies seemed really excited as their pitch of speaking was really high. This was kinda disturbing but nevertheless, we concentrated on our gossip session. Of-course, I was meeting my bestie after 2 months, so itni gossip karna to banta hai boss!
So, if you want to go for a lavish dinner in a luxurious place, then do give this restaurant a shot. It’s kinda worthy!
