Introducing The Baker’s Dozen– Their bread doesn’t need butter! Yes, its true. When I heard this, I wasn’t sure but when I tried, I loved it.

The story

– They have an exquisite variety of international breads including brioche, pain aux cereales, pain au levain, pain complet, four grain sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, challah, baguette, fougasse and lots more.

– Their bread is just made using flour, water, salt and yeast. No chemicals, artificial flavors or preservatives are added.

– Variety of Viennoiseries including Croissant, Cinnamon Roll, Sticky Bun, Pain Au Chocolat and Almond Creme Croissant available here, that is difficult to found in an ordinary bakery.

I tried Ragi Crackers with with spring onion and garlic dip, strawberry butter, four grain sourdough, double chocolate brownie and watermelon juice.

If you like nachos, then you are surely going to love Ragi crackers. These tasted different than nachos but surely in a better way. The only thing is, The Baker’s Dozen Ragi crackers are exclusively available here in TBD outlets only.

Four grain sourdough is a type of French bread which doesn’t require any dip or butter to enjoy it. You can eat it alone and it tastes super! It is an ideal breakfast and high tea snack option. It is healthy and doesn’t make you gain weight.

Brownie

The strawberry butter and the dip were good as well. I was surprised to know that everything was handmade using the old traditional ways of making it and didn’t have any added preservatives or emulsifiers.
…and last but not the least, chocolate brownie was awesome!

I visited the Powai outlet of The Baker’s Dozen. Its a small and cozy place located in the main market of Powai near Galleria.

All in all, I recommend you to visit The Baker’s Dozen and try some of their breads, dips and crackers. They are indeed doing justice to their vision of opening The Baker’s Dozen of changing the bread culture in India.
