Serendipity Art Festival aka SAF is an annual Goan cultural festival and I am pretty sure if you follow me on my social channels, you must be knowing that this time I got a chance to experience this amazing festival. I shared a little bit about Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa in one of my previous blog posts.
The festival started on 15 December 2017 and ended on 22 December. As I was little tied up with the launch events of my new book For The Sake Of Love, I couldn’t attend the festival from the day 1 (Oh, how I wish I would have). I reached Goa on 19th Dec. I am glad that I didn’t miss the acts & shows that I anticipated the most.
The world premier of ‘About the Elephant’, ‘River Raga’ curated by fab Shubha Mudgal & performance by awesome Jazz band The Banjara Quartet were the 3 shows/performances that I didn’t want to miss and also became the acts that I loved the most.
There were multiple locations where fest sessions were being held including Kala Academy, Adil Shah Palace, Barge, Jetty Point, DB ground, Old GMC and Children’s park.
Highlight of the event was surely River Raga. Listening to the classical songs, sailing on the river Mandovi on a cruise during the sunset in the company of Padma Shri award winner Shubha Mudgal ji, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far.
Another thing that I loved during the SAF 2017 was photography exhibition. Nature Untamed and Bombay Talkies was without a doubt my favourite sections.
Apart from this, I loved aerial photography, miniature photography and more.
I also got a chance to hear Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal sir, Chief Patron & founder of SAF who spoke about ‘the story of Munjals and hero’ and how SAF came into existence. It was inspiring to hear him talk about his journey.
There were some more theatres like Shikhandi and Maya Bazaar, which I really liked.
Here are some more photos from Serendipity Arts Festival 2017.
All in all, it was an amazing experience to be a part of this wonderful cultural festival. I stayed in Resort Sandalwood which is a 4 star property in Panjim itself. I’ll share more about it in another post!
Also, subscribe to my YouTube channel I’m gonna release the SAF vlog soon!
Until next time!
