When it comes to staying fit, the first thing that comes to our mind is running. The most manageable way to move your body is going for run. It is completely free, and we do not need to go anywhere in particular.
During the hot summer months, if you are exercising outside running puts an added stress on your body. The weather is too hot during summer as the temperature keeps on increasing. So, running can be little difficult and unsafe. You must be careful while running outside. Your body can lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke, either one is very dangerous for one’s condition. So, if you are running outside then you should make sure that you are taking proper precaution and keeping yourself cool and safe. You must get adapted to the hot weather.
- If you are running outside, then you must wear light coloured and loose clothes. The fabrics of your clothes must be breathable.
- You must wear a cap or a hat to cover your head as the maximum heat is lost by our head.
- You must also keep yourself hydrated. Each runner has different rate of sweat loss. Try drinking 500ml water half an hour or one hour before and after running. Do not wait for the thirst to hit you. We all know that water is our friend. So, you may keep water in your hand and drink to avoid heat exhaustion.
- You must always protect your skin as it is exposed to sun. Therefore, apply sunscreen whenever you go out for running. It is very vital for the runners or athletes to sustain their bodily condition all over the year, whether they are training or not.
