Did you know, in an average a person gets over 6000 thoughts in a day and most of them are repetitive, negative and automatic. But the good news is even though we cannot control those automatic negative thoughts, we can choose how we respond to those thoughts. We should never let negative thoughts overtake our minds as it can be dangerous. Negative thoughts are powerful and it can manifest the wrong, the sad and the painful.
It might have happened to you that you got a thought, what if i fall today and you actually fell down. This is because you let that thought grow in your head and eventually manifested it. Once negative thinking starts ruling over your mind, it kills the connection in between your vision and mind.
Negative thinking forces you to take even the positive happenings in a negative way. Whatever the situation be, never ever allow negative thoughts to grow in your mind. It is not a good servant and is a dangerous master.
Negative Thinking, Negative Mind- Its BAD!
So, how to control it and prevent manifesting the negative?
Well, simply by becoming aware that THIS is a negative thought and it’s not true.
Whenever you get a negative thought, at any point of time, just say to yourself ‘I noticed I got this thought and it is so not true. The reality is . . .’ and then tell yourself what actually the reality is?
If the thought is a result of overthinking or assumptions, tell yourself that this thought is not true, I am just getting this thought because I am assuming or I am overthinking and now I will not. Reality is good.
Also repeat some common affirmations once you get these negative thoughts.
- I know these are just assumptions, life will do no wrong to me
- Universe (or name of your God) loves me and this won’t happen, it’s just a thought and I choose to let it go
- I am letting this negative thought go off my mind
- I am ready for a positive outcome, this is my life and it’s all good
- I choose to think positive only
- Good vibes only, good vibes only, good vibes only
This little practice will help you have a positive mindset and prevent you from manifesting something that’s negative. I hope this helps.
