Mathura Vrindavan is one of my most favorite places. Yes, its one such divine place where anyone can forget his/her worries and get drenched into the love of Lord Krishna.
Recently I visited Mathura &Vrindavan for weekend. Actually, when I was in school, my dad & nana used to plan small escapes to Mathura-Vrindavan every month. So, that place is known to me! But I visited it after a span of 2 or 3 years. So, it was really refreshing and exciting.
Lord Krishna, the benevolent and savior was born in Mathura and spent all His childhood in Vrindavan. There are over 5,000 temples in Vrindavan to see.The city of Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh, is the heart of Brij-bhumi and is located 140 km south-east of Delhi and 60 km north-west of Agra.
From my city Kanpur, Mathura Vrindavan is around 350 kms.
There are endless places to visit in Mathura & Vrindavan.
Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha spend their time in this holy land of Vrindavan. People from all parts of the world comes to visit this holy land and hear the stories of Lord Krishna, his birth, his love and his magical power being the lord among all.
The Iskcon temple in Mathura is so grandeur and splendid to watch. The Kirtan and the holy prayers are so enchanting and spiritual to experience and listen.
The Dvarkadhish Temple, The Madan Mohan temple are the famous structure which is said to have been built in the 18th century. River Yamuna passes through Vrindavan. Even boat ride is possible to enjoy on the Yamuna River with very cheap fare.
