The Flag We Carry
Today, the sky wears three colours,
And every heart remembers why,
Why millions once stood fearless,
And chose to dream beneath this sky.
The saffron speaks of courage,
Of sacrifices quietly made,
The white reminds us of peace,
And the promises that must not fade.
The green carries our hope,
Our fields, our dreams, our land,
And the Ashoka Chakra reminds us
That we must keep moving, hand in hand.
Freedom was never just a date,
Or a chapter in a history book,
It lives in every voice that speaks,
In every brave step that we took.
So when the tricolour rises,
Let us not simply cheer and sing,
Let us ask what we can give
To the country that gave us everything.
Let our words bring people closer,
Let our actions make India bright,
Let every dream we dare to chase
Become another star of light.
Because freedom is not only
The story of those who came before,
It is also what we choose to build
For those who will walk through tomorrow’s door.
So today, beneath the tricolour,
With pride in every heart we see,
Let us promise to keep India
Brave, peaceful, hopeful and free.
