Niraan Tent City Varanasi – My Experience & Other Details

Varanasi is an ancient city located on the banks of river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh. It is said that Varanasi is the oldest city in the world and when the first ever ray of sun fell on Earth, it was on Varanasi. It is the holiest city with over 20,000 temples and 84 ghats. I recently went to Varanasi for the first time with Niraan Tent City and this post has my experience and other important details.

Niraan Tent City Varanasi is a vibrant and unique community of tents, located near the banks of the Ganges river in the city of Varanasi, India. This is similar to the concept of Rann Utsav Tent City.

This tent city is a unique and colorful experience for visitors to the area, providing a unique insight into the life in Varanasi. As this is located on the banks of rholy river Ganga, it gives all divine vibes 24×7. The location is right opposite to the Dashashwamedh Ghat and Assi Ghat.

I could hear all the Aartis right from my tent, whether of early morning 3 am or late evening 8 pm.

The tents are made from brightly coloured canvases and are relatively spacious, with each one providing room for at least two people. There are mainly 3 category of tents – Economy, Premium and Royal Villas. All the tents are well equipped with bedding, warm blankets, and mosquito nets for protection from the elements. The tents also feature small balcony to enjoy the vibes of Varanasi right from the tent.

Mine was a premium tent which was quite big and comfortable. It has all the required amenities such as coffee tea maker, electronic blankets, mosquito nets, AC, sofa set, comfy bed, lamps and a dedicated vanity area. It was suitable for 2 adults. The tent had a beautiful view of the river Ganga, huge balcony and spacious bathroom. See!

The difference between Royal Villa and Premium tents was that it has a huge room with 2 ACs and a TV. Rest everything was the same. I really liked my tent.

Apart from this, Niraan tent city also had a club house where you could play games like table tennis, snooker, ludo, chess, carom, volleyball etc. It also had a swimming pool, business centre, banquet hall and an in-house cafe.

The banquet halls was huge and could accommodate huge number of people. This is really good for destination weddings and other events.

The place is also suitable for office outings and corporate visits.

Not just this, but they also had a spa for your rejuvenation. The spa had all types of massages including the aroma massage, foot reflexology and couple massage.

My Experience of Niraan tent city:

Honestly, I loved the experience. They have mainly 2 itineraries – 1 night and 2 nights. My package was of 2 nights which included evening aarti, morning aarti, city tour/heritage walk and visit to Kashi Vishwanath dham.

I really liked how clean and spacious the tent was. And considering the size of the tent city, they have eco-cars (golfcarts) and tuktuks within the tent city, to make it easier to commute within the premises.

Even the staff was very generous, kind and welcoming. The room service was quick.

I also liked the food there. The breakfast and dinner buffet had many dishes to choose from and every single dish tasted yum. Not just this, but even the a-la-carte menu and cafe served scrumptious food.

And the live performance by classic musicians made the dining experience even more memorable.

What me and my nephew yuvi enjoyed the most were the boats ride that we took every now and then to travel from the tent city to the ghats when going for sight-seeing.

All in all, my experience was really good and I highly recommend you to experience Niraan Tent City with your folks.
